This uniquely sweet, heirloom variety coffee is named for Ardipithecus ramidus, an important early human fossil discovered in Ethiopia. The Ethiopia Ardi, represents the combined output of roughly 1500 small farmers of heirloom typica located throughout Sidama. Ripe coffee cherries are hand picked at farms ranging in altitude of 1850 to 1950 meters and transported to the town of Kilenso Mokonisa for processing and milling.
